Why Join SSHCA?

Choosing to join or renew your SSHCA membership allows you to expand your influence in our neighborhood by keeping you informed, allowing you to be heard, and welcoming your involvement. All residents receive a copy of our quarterly newsletter, THE BANNER, and are welcome to attend SSHCA meetings and community events.  General membership meetings are held at 7:00pm on the second Tuesday of every January, April, July and October at the Common Ground Church located at 4207 North Boulevard, Tampa, Florida 33603.

New Civic Association Members will receive the SSHCA Welcome Bag delivered to their homes by a membership committee volunteer. Our welcome bags are canvas tote bags with our association's emblem on the front.  Inside new members will find all types of goodies including local newspapers, area magazines, health and safety flyers, hurricane publications and recycling guidelines.  The treats come in the form of local business advertisements such as gift certificates, coupons, stress balls, magnets and a loaf of fresh Cuban bread!

Membership Dues

Any person eighteen years of age or older or business enterprise interested in promoting the purpose of the SSHCA is eligible for membership. Individual membership is granted upon the annual payment of $12.00 for a one-member household and $20.00 for a two-member household. Voting privileges are limited to residents (owner/tenant) of South Seminole Heights and property owners (landlords) in South Seminole Heights. Business membership is granted upon the payment of $35.00 annual dues.  

Application/Renewal Form

It's simple to join. Download the SSHCA Application/Renewal Form. Print, complete, and mail to SSHCA, P.O. Box 360371, Tampa, FL 336731.* Annual renewals are due each October.  Applications are accepted throughout the year and membership dues are prorated accordingly.
